Tennant Minerals NL (ASX code: TMS) is an exploration and development company with copper-gold projects in the Tennant Creek area of the Northern Territory.
Tennant Mineral’s primary focus is the Barkly and Babbler Copper-Gold Projects, located approximately 45km east of the major copper-gold mineral field of Tennant Creek.
The projects are considered highly prospective high-grade copper-gold deposits, similar to major deposits such as the Peko deposit, only 20km to the west of the Barkly project, that produced 147,000 tonnes of 4% copper and 414Koz at 10 g/t gold between 1934 and 1981.
At Barkly, ongoing exploration is aiming to delineate a high-grade copper-gold deposit at the Bluebird prospect. Further exploration is also planned along the 5km “Bluebird Corridor” to test other highly prospective magnetic-gravity anomalies that have not been drilled at depth.
At Babbler, exploration programs are focused on testing buried magnetic anomalies that may represent copper-gold deposits under cover of younger sequences.
The ultimate objective of the Company is to build a high-grade copper-gold resource base at the Barkly Project and advance the Barkly Project towards mine development.
